Publication Integrity

Plagiarism Policy

1. Introduction

Halicon Publication maintains strict standards against plagiarism. All authors submitting manuscripts must ensure that their work is original and that all sources are properly cited. Any form of plagiarism is considered unethical and unacceptable in scholarly publishing.

2. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism refers to the use of another person's work, ideas, data, or words without proper acknowledgment. This includes direct copying, paraphrasing without citation, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, and the use of figures, tables, or research results without permission.

3. Plagiarism Screening Process

All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process. Manuscripts with high similarity scores may be returned to authors for revision or rejected depending on the level of similarity.

4. Acceptable Similarity Limit

Authors are expected to maintain similarity levels within acceptable limits according to journal guidelines. Excessive similarity or unattributed content may result in rejection or revision requests before the manuscript proceeds to peer review.

5. Types of Plagiarism

Plagiarism may include direct copying of text, mosaic plagiarism, paraphrasing without citation, self-plagiarism, duplicate submission, and improper use of figures, tables, or data without acknowledgment.

6. Actions Against Plagiarism

If plagiarism is identified during the review process, the manuscript may be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article may be retracted and appropriate action may be taken against the authors.

7. Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are entirely original. Any previously published material must be properly cited and permissions must be obtained when necessary.

8. Reporting Plagiarism

Readers, reviewers, or editors who suspect plagiarism in published articles are encouraged to report the issue to the editorial office for investigation and appropriate action.
